Thanks for the link Kenny. His work is EXCELLENT as you say, but don't forget our own Darren M for this type of work, either. Darren is also a master of the portrait photo as well.

While many of them are tightly cropped, there are many that are not. Spend some more time going through the different galleries.

He's a master at portraiture - subject matter, composition and lighting are great! If I had one criticism, it would be that his post processing involves tweaking contrast and saturation to levels that are somewhat overdone. I realize that this is used in some photos to great advantage but he uses high contrast and particularly high saturation with all of his work and although it never really spoils any of it, I think he'd do better to aim for more natural saturation levels.
