I recall as a child in the 1950s finding about 20 spitifres stored
wingless on top of each other in a disused part of an industrial
estate. Some had bullet holes in them and smelled of rubber and
metal. They'd be worth a fortune today.
Amazing - how atmospheric ! I'd love to have seen them.
I like the panoramas. You have the best of both worlds: city and
countryside. The pity is when the city expands and people lose the
rural part.
Exactly ! It's nice to have easy access to London but to feel a part of the countryside too.
I'd love to go to the air show that must be quite a feast for a
photographer.
Definitely ! I think Amateur Photographer magazine sponsors the grandstand ?

Such lovely pics. I lived in Jakarta for 3 years (now live in NY) and those pics aroused nice memories.
