Lexar 80x CF really bad huh ???

I actually wanted to buy this card but after heard below story here from one of friends who is having problem with Lexar so I postponed my plan.

" ... same here!!! Last Sat nite Shoot half way and out of sudden promp me "cf card err", restart my camera doens't help... take out n insert back the card also the same!! try format the card with camera also cannot, go home trying to read the cf card from card reader also cannot!!! The best thing is i need to card for photoshot the next day and this is my one and only card!

Lexar CF 1 GB card 80x.. wat the fish!! so troublesome to exchange and got to wait another ..."

Just wondering whether you are having the same problem when using Lexar Pro 80x ?
Pls share .... cause I would like to hear more feedback from other countries.

My guess is that maybe they corrupted the card somehow by transferring data incorrectly.

...even after I left the 4g on top of my car and it got ran over before I realized what I'd done and went back for it. My 1dsII just reached 20,000 shots, and 90% of them have been on my 1g 80x and 4g 80x.

I did have the 1dsII-Lexar timing issue that crashed the camera if you hit display while the buffer was still emptying, but, since that was fixed by a camera firmware upgrade, I'll assume the problem was mostly Canon's.
