I post a message here telling that WIA driver didnt work in XP but I just realize that its rather in Photoshop Import that doesnt work because I just found that in Windows Control Panel / Scanner and Camera that the driver is there and working.

Now why not in Photoshop ? in the Import command, the WIA-Powershot G2 if I try from PS I get the message "Could not open TwainSource, make sure there is a valid source for your scanner in the Twain directory"..... I checked and in Windows/twain/CANON_DC/ everything is there.

How would I get it to work in Photoshop ?

The WIA driver works fine with my G2 and Photoshop 5.0LE. Make sure that you have version 3.90 (on Canon web site) and that you do not have both the WIA and and a Twain driver both loaded. WIA version 3.80 was shipped with my G2 but is not for XP. Version 3.91 also exists but it is not for the G2. Make sure you have the correct one installed and it should work. Also the camer must be plugged in and turned on when you start the import.

Having said that.... get a card reader as that is the best method to use to transfer pictures into the CPU.
