auto fx photographic edges

If you design albums and/or graphic prints for weddings or portraits.
These are in good demand at bridal show and hand designed flush mount
book and album designs.
It is a memory hungry program. Hope your loaded up on RAM.

I'd say it's worth it. There are a million effects that I think are useless, and you can delete those folder options which just take up a lot of room. Some of the edge effects can be created better in PS, but it takes more time. I like the smudged edge effect, which is more difficult to duplicate in PS than some of the others.

I'm not sure if RAM is my problem, or just an older Mac that's not too fast anymore.
But when I upgraded to the latest version it's turned out to be so slow that it's completely useless.
I got a discount on the On1 Photoframe (formerly Extensis) and it's much faster and actually useable.
The problem with both of them is organization and overkill on the weird frames. Both of them have huge numbers of really weird frames. Photoframe lets you preview, but you have thousands to look at and I haven't found a way to prioritize by MY criteria yet.
The original Auto Fx gave you a BOOK of the frames, so it was actually much faster to find what you were looking for. Now it's a real pain in the butt.
Photoframe is also less expensive, but both are pretty high, in my opinion.
However, I've got to admit that I really like the idea of them. They're fun to play with. But don't have any illusions there's no way you can take a bad photo and make it better with a cutsie frame. You can, however, take a good photo and make it worse with a frame, even a good one. You really do have to know when to use these products and use them judiciously.

100% agreed with you John,you can actually spoil good shots with this stuff and must be used with caution.
If your photos suck with out frames they will suck no matter whatever gimmick you add to them.
