$300 for a beginner all-around lens

I had the 28-135 IS and i think it is the best lens for the money. But it is not that wide for a 1.6 factor. Also, the F/5.6 is not that fast. I switched to Sigma 24-70 F/2.8 Macro because it is wider and faster and $80 cheeper. I am missing the USM and IS. But think I did the right decision since I cover the 70-135 with my 70-200 F/2.8.

So, if you can cover the 70-135 part ( or will not use) Go with the Sigma. It is much faster and has Macro..

The pictures in my Tamron gallery have had varying amounts of post processing. I generally process all my photos regardless of which lens I use.

I take that back. There were some shots in that gallery that were specifically NOT processed because I was posting them for someone here to see who wanted non-processed shots.
