Old dog lost his

I feel really sorry for you.

Your portrait is beautiful, and full of emotion. Maybe just because I'm a dog person, but I was very sensible to your loss.

He's at peace now, and you have wonderful memories, and just as great shots, to remember him ever.
My prayers are with you.

REALLY sorry about your loss. Handsome dog and obviously loved. Enjoy the memories through your photos. We have a Golden and he's growing old....this is the second and I understand a little of what you're feeling.

...shots of him if you have some. I'd be curious to see him as a younger fellow, or even pup.

I had to put my foundation ***** (I'm a dog breeder) to sleep two years ago and having tons of pictures of her is really precious and helped me coping a lot.

Of course having over 150 pups (all tracing back to her through five generations) scattered all over the world and picking up titles everywhere also felt pretty comforting...

Please feel free to post more pics of your old pal if you have some.

Sorry about your loss. We have 2 Golden Retrievers and I know that they are a huge part of our family.

I know this loss will put an emptiness in you heart, but time will slowly mend this. You will always have your memories (& photos) of your loved one.

My suggestion is to go and find another dog that you can love. This new one will never replace you lost one, but it will help absorb some of your loss.

They all have there different qualities, but there is one thing they all do….. Is love you more than there own lives…. So give the opportunity of one to give you all its love…..

Wally (from Oz)

PS… I think you were as perfect as your “Dog thinks you are...”

He was my ex-wifes brothers dog. Who also happened to be my best
friend. We divorced about 5 yrs ago and shortly after the dog ended up
with my ex-wife and my sons. My oldest son went with his uncle to pick
him out. My sons although older now are still crushed.

So long story short --- I don't have pics of him as a pup but if you look on my link below the ones of him are from yesterday. Which by the way was a good day for him ! Everyone in the family loved Oscar !!

She looks like a beautiful dog (Black Lab). Is she missing her good friend?

We have always had 2 dogs, as well as being great for us, they always have each other for those times when where not home or too busy not to spend time with them, which isn’t often…;o)...
Our two are not only our best friends but they are they are best friends.

Wally…..

my lab was sick last month, losing 10 of her 64 lbs and I was worried sick she had cancer too.. had 2 blood tests, fortunately was just an infection and she will be fine. Here is Kopper about 2 months ago...not the best pic but she was having a great time anyway. My heartfelt condolenses go out to you at this time.

Sorry to hear about your loss. One good thing about this photography hobby of ours is that it leaves us with many great memories, such as the picture that you have shared with us here.

We have 3 dogs right now and the oldest is over 15 years old. She was rescued from a bad home and the night we got here, she had eaten D-Con rat poison. She's lived the life of a queen ever since. Losing a pet is so difficult.

Best wishes to you and your family,

Yodog
