Purchaced a 135-400mm Sigma on ebay. No directions came with the purchace. Does anyone know where I might find the directions and in the meen time what does the "w" mean?

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting '...holy sh-t what a ride!'

I also have this on my smaller Sigma. I also have a T so I think that the DOF aperture rating is valid on the Wide side of your zoom, 135mm.

Sorry, can't help you on the "W". What I did notice is that lens has one very narrow DOF. Your focus better be spot on. Let us know how it works out for you.

I have that lens too and just looked through the manual. It doesn't say anything specifically about the "W" but I assume, that it means the depth of field scale is valid when the lens is in W (widest setting - 135mm).
Great lens BTW. I love mine.
Couldn't resist to post of of my favorite pictures with that lens.... :-)
