Just a few B&W shots I took today. I'm not-so-patiently waiting for spring to bring some life (and colour) back to Toronto. As I wait, I'm becoming frustrated with the lack of outdoor shooting opportunities.

Oh well, nothing to do but work with what you've got...and so I shot these while was running some errands.

Enjoy!

All shot with 17-55 on my D70. Which one do you find most pleasing?

They are all interesting,especially #1

good use of the available environment, b+w gives the images the kick they need.

keep it up.

Regards

Emeka- I kinda like #3. Love the perspective leading toward the light. If it were mine, I'd probably brush out the people or whatever I see in the light: give it that real hard-edged view (steel and rivets) into the "abyss"; making the viewer wonder what's on the other side.

Very nice. I like No. 2 for no particular reason. :-D
Thanks for the comments...that pic is actually my least favorite of the 3...not that I think any of them is particularly bad though.

There seems to be a balance between the OOF diagonals on the left
and the in focus lines on the right.
number one was the one that initially jumped out at me as being nice.
Always enjoy your urban shots. These are no exception.
hey thanks...you're welcome to visit my gallery any time, and/or give feedback. glad you enjoy my work

I also like number 3 the best, why I don't know I just like it. I here what you are saying about the crappy weather I am just north or the city in Newmarket and went out today to take some shots but only managed to to about 10 shots of my kid.

I just keep wondering what kind of job you do to find spots like that.

My favorite is #1, it has a dark and bonechilling feeling. the other two are nice but #1 is the one that does it for me.
