Any other Fuji users here? I have two PG3000's and love being able to get real B&W and Color prints at will from them that are unquestionably not digital print looking. Before I get "flamed", I do have a Epson R1800 as well and it has it's uses. I just got a used Pictrostat 200II with slide input(a photo copy machine) that shares many Pictrography components. The Matte/Glossy papers are working in the Pictrography. Are the Donors compatable at all? Media seems to be obsolete for the pictrostat 200/300 in the US market. It seems to be available in Germany.

Thanks, John

Have a 4500. Don't know the answer but I suspect you can't use that other media.

The man to ask is Ron Ackerman at Fui:

Thanks Andrew, is Ron based out of Edison N.J.? Can he be reached at the 800 support number? My last call to Fuji was less than helpfull. I was told I had to buy a service agreement to start with. And then was told my equipment was not able to be put on a service agreement because of being older than seven years. But that was several years ago. The printers just keep going, But now there are viable alternatives. I would hope they would now value a tenured user of their wonderful machines in a competitive world!

Aha! There's a Mr. Pictro, and now I know his name!

Andrew, maybe you can answer my question, and I won't have to bother Mr. Pictro...

I'm trying to set my PG3500 up for profiling. My best guess on the driver settings are:

ICM OFF
all sliders to neutral
Image Process OFF
Gray Balance set for Gray3(sRGB)

(Before printing the profile target, let the printer warm up for an hour and then run a closed-loop calibration.)

Is there a better way? Anything to add? Is there any reason to change the driver settings for glossy versus matte receiver?

TIA,
Mike

Everything is OK except Ron had me set mine for On4/PGxxxoff.
