Sunset San Francisco H1 (2 imgs)

Very nice, Denise! I like the second one the best; just lovely.

Take the scenic route! Life is too short to do otherwise.

The "atmosphere" in the first one is just incredible.

And those clouds in the second shot must have been truly inspiring. I might suggest that you try the saturation at (-) for some types of sunsets (it helps to take some of the yellow in the highlights out).

The sea is saturated with sinking starshine. The shore sure shines! Super sunsets. Stonishing!

Way in the background in #1 there is a land mass rising...is that the Farallones??? I can't think of anything else out there but is the reach on the DH 1758 that powerful??????????

Thanks for your kind comments, Steve. I went out there to shoot some pics for the Challenge and was rewarded with this fabulous sunset ;-))

Cheers, Denise

I used color selection because (-) didn't quite cut it.

Although (this is where my purist not quite into the whole PP thing comes into play yet) it was that yellow ;-))

Thanks for taking the time to make suggestions and comments. I am learning so much every single day, it is amazing!!

how far is the reach of the DH1758? (If you answered this in the Whitepaper, I only donated ;-)) haven't had a chance to read it yet)

On that 1st photo, I think the land mass is the Farallones rising up behind the bridge but we are talking a lot of miles....26 from SF and I was in the Berkeley Hills. Possible??

Thanks for your comments, too. Always appreciated.

Last night when I yanked myself off the couch I said "I have no business living this close to SF and not going out tonight and try to take a photo of the city lights for the Challenge" As you can see, I was rewarded with a wonderful sunset while we waited for the main event!!

Thanks for your wonderful comments.

Cheers, Denise

I have asked that question myself earlier in this thread. Waiting for Steve H to give me an answer and also AAK on distance. The farallones are actually further than 15 miles....I think they are 26 from SF and I was in the Berkeley Hills. But I don't know of any other land mass out there!!!!!!!

Hope somebody answers our question, going to read the new Whitepaper chapter, maybe the distance answer is there!!

Thanks for you comments, Denise
