I had the ugh, pleasure of doing a Boudoir shoot for a dear friend of mine and now I have the ugh, pain of determining how/where to get the photos printed. I use Apollo currently but am ugh, shy about taking the pictures in to be printed / also afraid the person behind the computer/counter may oggle over the photos.

No, these shots aren't pornographic, but the model is WELL endowed and I don't want to run the chance of the photo's turning up on some smutt website.

what should I do?

Make sure that you go to a Pro Lab. I am sure that you have a number of them in your town.... if not, try Millers photographic http://www.Millerslab.com
FYI, I believe that MPIX is their "consumer brand".

One last idea, if you don't have the printer size at home that you want to use (i.e you need a 16"x24" and you only have an epson 2200), try looking for a local photo school, college, etc. Most likely you will find a source that will charge you a small fee ($1.00 per linear inch or so) to use their wide carriage printers..... often times, you do all the printing yourself..... bring in a CD with the images and print.

Finally, if there are no schools in the area with printers, try any of the local pro studios...... there is a good chance that they might have a wide carriage printer and, might be willing to let you use it for a fee.......

.. and they likely be doing a higher volume of big prints anyway.

The lab near me is often running off hundreds of 8x10 head shots at a time - a dozen of your photos aren't going to draw much attention as they would at the local drug store where its usually 4x6's of family holiday shots being run through the printer...

Obviously, this is an uncomfortable thing for you, but rest assured, quite a few people do this kind of photography every day.

And, surprise, surprise, this isn't the only kind of photography that has a high intrinsic value that you don't want showing up just anywhere. So most pro labs (a lab that caters primarily to professionals) is going to treat your images with respect and care. Of course, they ARE going to ogle, unless the guy running them happens to be gay. . .

So, find a good pro lab, ask them about their policies regarding security of customer images, ask them if they have any issues processing nude photos, and take it from there.

Really, not a problem at all.

Nice to see you thinking about the client. What a client does for a husband is different than what she does to send as Christmas cards. Try http://www.whcc.com/ they do a very good job, they are a professional lab.

for the great feedback.

FYI for the other comments:

I was verry comfortable witht the model, she is a personal friend, and we had a ball-- that's precisely why I care about her privacy.

I do want her images to be respected and not end up on someone's cubical or back end office somewhere!

I mean how you feel if someone walked by your wife/girlfriend and recognized her from the pic on someone's desk and goes 'oooooH, i know you, nice @$$!!!-- shock and dismay, i asure you.

bottom line is i don't want her bottom line to end up on joe smoe's bedroom floor.

thanks guys
