EX-S600 watercolour photos?

I came across some ex-s600 samples on the web, and I don't know if it's just me, but they seem to have a watercolour effect to them. Especially when you look at the tree leaves for example. Maybe they were used in the bestshot mode? Download the fullsize photos and have a look...

That link reads Pentax. I don't see a reference to Casio. Regardless, I don't find any of the photos to be sharp or appealing.

I checked the exif file, it says it is from an ex-s600. I think the Pentax name is a link to Pentax samples.

Those pictures look pretty bad. The first one is especially bad.

I looked at the first image very closely. It appears as though the branches and leaves were moving in a breeze when the photo was snapped.
