Older PC lenses on DSLRs

Probably. My 28/3.5 PC is 20 years old and fits. These lenses are by the way neither AI nor AIS since they haven't a mechanical aperture linkage to the camera.

The even older 28/4 PC had a flange on its rear which possibly could interfere w9ith the camera mount. Same holds for the earliest versions of the 35/2.8 PC and the 35/3.5 PC. You can take a dremel and remove the material which makes lens to stick when mounted.

There is a 28 I believe at the used camera shop right next to my house.........I swear it mentioned AI ro AI-S on the tag.

There are no more recent lenses than the Pre AI on these PC lenses?

Pretty good prices compaired to new. I believe this one was around $200.

That's exactly what I did. I shaved off about 1mm to 2mm and voila. Took about 1 minute.

There are some interesting Russian t/s and pc lenses available even new in nikon mount. I think there is an adapter also to fit kiev/pentacon medium format lenses(including some nice zeiss glass) with shift. A medium format wide lens theoretically should make a good t/s or pc lens for a dslr because of the long lens to film plane distance and the wider coverage.
