To be honest I wish people would stop going on and on about it. These USELESS messages are pushing messages where people are asking for help off the first page.I wish Olympus would unleash their E1 replacement.
The suspense is killing me!
The next 4 months are going to be rough!
You have three decent DSLRs on the market and have had a nice DSLR
for several years. As a former Minolkta user who jumped ship (to
Canon) when KM released an overpriced, WAY-late, 6mp camera in a
8mp world, I can tell you from experience there's NOTHING more
painful than waiting on a product, especially when there is no
option but to jump ship - or wait like a good loyal user to be
greeted with greedy prices and substandard features.
Buy an E-500 and be happy.![]()
3. To me it seems an unbelievably bad marketing decision by
Olympus to have failed to release an upgraded "E-1n" during 2005.
They have completely failed to pursuade me that it would have been
too difficult to put an 8.0 MP sensor in the E-1 and fix a handful
of things from the original. If rumors of such a model had
surfaced at the end of 2004 and if it had come out this summer, I
suspect that there would be very few people ditching Oly for
"greener pastures."
it did happen - it turned into the E-500No rumors? People have been talking about how the next E-1 (or
E-3) would be out at every photo show for over a year. Hell, REPS
were telling people to expect it.
It didn't happen... so we are still waiting.
hmm..... my guess is E-xx before feb 06, same sensor in $$$$ body = E-xHopefully, it will be worth the wait (honestly, seeing the E-500 is
making me think it WILL be, hope it gets some of the little
Gee-Whiz items from it).
and we have not heard any rumours from Panasonic yet, so fasten the seat belts ;-)Waiting... been killing me for months... think the wife is happy
though...
