because it just takes too much of my time. I really rediscovered how fun photography can be. Shame on the bashers of this fine affordable camera. The best toy I have bought in years (along with my new dogsled).

I take pictures of just everything I can think of. In the beginning I shot jpg. but now I shoot Raw. I think Raw gives more detail and they are easy to pp.

Very nice. For the windmill, did you do any PP tricks? It looks like you layered a sharp and out of focus pic. At any rate, it is very cool.
 
Superb shots. Are all shot with the kit lens? Would you care to provide the EXIF info?

Policsijustin, with the windmill I added a sligt midnigt sepia filter to make it look a little darker and dramatic.

Thanks David, I like the swan very much too.

Far Tang, windmill is shot with the Nikkor 18-70 DX lense. Bathing, ship and bee with the 70-300 Sigma Apo ll and the swan with the Nikkor 55-200 DX. I have not yet found out how to save the exif, when I save for the web. But all are shot in A-mode and Raw. Converted with PSE and edited in PS CS.

Yes, Randy, it's "the other kit lens". I very happy with it. It's sharp and light. Some have had some problems with it, but I find it as sharp as the 18-70.

I've seen many of your great pics too. They are so good. Well, I've seen a few bashers in different forum. But who cares. I own it and am happy with the result. Probably shouldn't have mentioned it.

Thanks Philip. Around here we call it a black swan. Maybe it has another name. I don't know. It's a very funny and curious bird, always aware of what you are doing. Maybe it feels like a movie star.

Hi Torben

Nice to hear because of advice here iam thinking about ordering this one next week.

I realy like the picture of the boat at the beach, it has a very calm atmosphere to it, and it is funny to se the version without people as well I think they add to the picture.

Iam looking forward to this camera myself :0)

Thanks Jakob. I hope you will be as happy with the D50 as I am. When you get it let's see some pictures. What lens are you getting?

Funny about the boat, it was just suddenly lying there on the beach. It has now been lying there for more than 14 days.
