A friend of mine has found some 30yr old Kodacolor - X 120 film that hasn't yet been developed and was wondering if it could still be developed.

Do you know of anywhere that would do it? Anywhere in Canada?

It could be interesting to see what's on the film. I always understood that it had an expiry date to it...

Thanks for your help.

I recently found my fathers camera in his drawer in his room. When I started to play with it I realized it still had film. I brought it to a photo lab and mentioned it was very old and lo and behold the pictures were perfect. The photos turned out to be of the Blizzard of 1975. They were black and white. Film is a lot more durable than you think. I don't think the photo lab did anything different they just were more cautious in handling.

I personally developed a roll of 120 B&W film that was in the camera for 50 years. 1937-1987. The old couple brought it in to the lab I worked at in Baltimore. We processed the film in Diafine developer. It gave the film a 2 stop push. We were able to print two frames from the roll.

I also have a few rolls of old film from some of the cameras I have collected, but have not processed that film yet.

There are two rolls of 120 Kodacolor II Dated 1976& 1978 still in the original box waiting to be used. One 126 Kodacolor II, Two rolls of Verichrome pan 620, and a roll of Vericolor pan 116. There were a few 35mm rols of newer stuff too.

Thanks folks, I called Kodak and they recommended film rescue. I'll let you know how it turns out, could be some interesting 70's shots of bellbottoms and long sideburns... :-)
