I also still love my F707

Some very nice shots with your 707! I especially like the reflection; the colors and composition are beautiful.

You have a great camera -- I've always regretted selling mine when I got my 717.

Thanks! I love my F707. I only wish it had some of the features the F717 had like;
  • USB 2.0
  • Compatible with larger capacity memory sticks.
  • Slower shutter lag (not sure if the F717 is any better)
But when I do replace it (hopefully with a F828 successor), I am going to save it to show my grandkids what the first truly great digital camera looked like.

Here are a few other examples of what this camera can do;

These were taken from the same spot at the lake (different year). It is straight from the camera, no editing except resize.

You've captured the serenity of these scenes very nicely. And I love those blues!

The 717 does have some advantages over the 707, but I really miss that "pop" straight out of the camera. I may look at the 828 successor, if there is one, to finally replace the 717 but am happy enough for now.

I don't know about this either, but if it is better, that would be a very good reason to own the 717. :-)

All of your shots are terrific. I'm attempting to learn photography and I gain so much by viewing the wonderful body of work posted here. Although I've had my 707 since it was first introduced, I've never really had the time to learn how to use it. Thank you for sharing these beautiful shots from your 707. They encourage me to try and do better with my camera.

I shoot about 95% of my photos on the F707 in fully automatic mode. Having the F7x7 is like having a professional photographer doing all the settings for you. All you have to do is compose and shoot.

I just bought the P200 a little while back. I really love it but not half as much as my 707. It's simply the BEST camera I have ever owned. Really I feel as though it owns me. It just feels so right holding it. The P200 was supposed to be my purse camera but I was using it so much I almost forgot where my 707 was. Then I was moving some papers on my desk. Touched it and it felt so Right. Loved your pictures.... yb
