The arrogance is frightening.

So, by the same token, all Muslims are terrorists, the French never bathe, all Irishmen are alcoholics, etc...

If you are willing to make broad assertions based on the actions of a few, then there is probably little hope for you. Eventually, everyone you meet will fall into some group or another of undesirables.

Yea... but recent events show that Bush can't ride a bycicle. A year ago he fell off of the thing and got hurt, and just the other day he crashed into a security guard and hurt him. Moral: If you see GWB on a bike, run like hell.

But did you notice, he still has that hump on his back that he had in the second debate?

I am sick and tired of people bashing this country, i have lost a father, and two brothers in war, fighting some other countries battles for them, and those same cowards are the ones who chose to ridicule our country, and you are a disgrace to say that you are even an American. If you do not like the country it is simple, denounce your American Citizenship and move somewhere better.!!!

I don't agree with everything he does, but I resent people insulting him all the time. He's got a lot to deal with, and he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

It was a great shot. I would have been thrilled to have bagged one like that, no matter who was president.

I am sorry for your losses. Since you call me a coward, I feel compelled to say I volunteered to fight in Vietnam, spent a year there, was promoted four times and was awarded a Bronze Star. I came home and taught in the ghetto for many years, doing my best to improve my country one child at a time. If I am a disgrace to America, I can only say I did my best.

But with the losses you've suffered your anger is understandable.

"...That plane is a airborne office and it allows the President and
his staff to work, business as usual, while in the air."

yeah, because the pResident and the word "work" really belong in
the same sentence.... the amount of "work" this GWB does would
really be best done on a biplane, (or a bicycle) not Air Force One.

at least "business as usual" correctly describes him and his work... >
I'll second that !!!

Excuse me !

I thought the main reason we fight for others is to give them the same rights we have. Is not one of those rights the freedom to disagree with your own government.

I have many problems with Jr. but this is not the place to vent. I will say the last straw was his stance against stem cell research. I have genetic disease in my family that may cost me dearly. Believe me if one of his daughters was ill he would use everything in his power to save her. He is a hypocrite for catering to religious right to keep his political life going, he does not care about those people, they just keep him in office.
Guess I vented. Sorry

Joe,

You should be proud. I feel humbled hearing how much you have contributed to others.

American's often miss irony ;)

I thought I had the irony thing pretty well nailed with my comment about "Live 8," & thought it pretty equal in irony to the post about using a huge jet to fly to a summit on climate changes.
By the way, how did everyone else arrive - by mule? ;-)

By the way, great picture, love the landscape behind the plane - what lens did you use, and how far away were you?
