I tried to update the firmware in my cx6330. I followed all instructions, but the camera froze after 1/3 of the update was done. I left it on for for about 1 hour, but it never finished. The batteries were charged before I started, and still had power when I finally had to open the battery door to shut it off. Now I have a B03 error. It's croaked. Is there a less expensive way to fix this other than the $125.00 minimum from Kodak?

Also, is there a way to get the Easyshare software ver. 4.04 on CD? I have a very slow dial up connection, and it would take many many hours to download.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi there the error mesage is becouse you have not an firmware in the camera.or is corupted
try this.
I hope you have an SD card reader.
put your SD card in the cardreader and with my computer go to the Icon
thads say F or E drive depents how meany harddisk you have.
ones you get acces to the card make an dir and name it System
now copy your firmware upgrade to this System dir.

power up the camera.
normalee the upgrade start.
after an 2 or 3 minuts the upgrade will finiching telling you upgrade compleet.

When the camera do not boot the firmware, you need to reset your camera.

eather with an reset from the menu or leaving the bateries out of the camera for about 12 hour.
then try again.
good luck.

Kodak used to make the EasyShare Software on CD available by ordering it through the web site. I don't know why they stopped doing this???

Before I got DSL, I always ordered the CD Version. It would be really nice if Kodak would make that CD version available again! I am sure that many people would take advantage of being able to order the software on CD.

Amen to making the CD available. Whats worse is you can't download the software and put it on a CD, all you get is the install program. I have a friend who has DSL, but I can't even take advantage of that.
Are you listening Kodak?
