My first studio images of ...

I would love to take such a class, my lighting knowledge is pretty poor.

I own and have read this book:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1584281251/qid=1119712991/sr=8-3/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/103-2996210-3515852?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

...and found it very helpful, with good diagrams and pictures, although I have admittedly not tried the strobe techniques (just with multiple speedlights).

Congrats, David, you're really building up your repetoire!

Hi David,

I'm from Kuala Lumpur and interested to attend that similar class that you attended. Could you provide me with some info please (eg how can I register myself for the class) ? Thank you.

cheers,
Meng Soon

Though I agree that the original is a tad dark, I think this one is a tad too bright. Something in between?

The originals look great to me and the reworked ones look washed out but I am not sure if my monitor is calibrated properly.

... models, no less :-)
Fun, isn't it? :-)

Mine are mostly nudes and glamour, so I can't post many examples here, but a couple I can:

The, er, less-clothed ones can be found here:

And I also had a go at some FHM-style glamour shots here:
http://www.benlovejoy.com/photography/photos/people/nicola/
These images were shot RAW, Daylight 0 WB, 1/250s at f10, ISO200
Assuming there was no ambient light, then the shutter speed is of course irrelevant - something that was very obvious once it was pointed out to me. :-)

I use Flash WB for studio strobes, and that seems to work well.
