Very nice Bob! Do you ever enter the challenges here on the forum?
I think that maybe you fourth shot might qualify. It has to do with
lines going across the picture that are not straight with the
horizon. Thanks for sharing, Catherine

I looked at your pictures ... One thing there were quite a few ... even with 3 MB/sec DSL it took 15 seconds to open all of them ... poor dial-up folks might not like that. I was with the Army Corps of Engineers ... so the pictures are of sorta "ho-hum" subjects ... Sure would have made a big impression 25 years ago though.

Good luck, and ...

Happy Shooting !

Hi Mike.Yeah i know what you mean.Im on dial up my self. Some one on this site wanted to see them but as far as i know diden't look.I not going to post more the two anymore. It's even a long wait for me lol.
I know the lock, dams are a ho-hum subject i just live pretty close to em.
Im going to take these off right away. Thanks for looking Cheers Bob.

The pics looked great from here should be appreciated by the fact he took them from where he was standing and not from where someone else thought he should be. He did well with the subject at hand.

Water related shots can be a challenge to any photographer and the experience obtained here coupled with the comments will help this person learn from the experience.

I am a novice photographer but not a novice engineer and the subject looked challenging and well presented given the circumstances and certainly not "ho-hum" in result nor effort.

Keep up the good work as we all learn from and enjoy the experiences of others.

I agree ... don't take them off, I only got to see a few but on dial up it was already 15 minutes :0 I like what I saw Bob, vivid sure brings out the blues in the waters, the reds in my barn pictures but what about grass? Anyone want to try vivid on grass greens?

Keep posting Bob, at my end of Pa. I don't get to see the locks :)

How was your day BTW Bob?

Hi Bob

Hi Oridi.I use PSE3 for sharpness.I always set the camera to 0 sharpness,

AV F5.6 when out doors.Other wise i use AV F 4.0 Thanks for your comments, waiting for the pictures to load.Cheers Bob.

Hi Bob,

Don't worry, my posts get all kinds of responses but I don't mind - its what makes the world go around. You were trying to show what vivid can do and its a plus in certain situations. I think you should try some RAW - you might like it. I do some as it can get hard to get the picture the way you want it. I first open it up in Zoombrowser and then do more editing in PE3.

Hi Sue anne.I dont get discouraged by any ones comments.I should of known better then to post so many pictures on the same subject.

For me anyway it's kinda hard to tell a story with pictures if i only post one or two.The guy that made the comment wasn't being rude he was just saying the subject was oh-hum oh well lol.Im kinda oh-hum to.
Also he said take it easy on the dial i up folks witch im one.No problem
Here.Hey it's the weekend no ones here lol.Cheers Bob.

Hi Bob

I don't think Mike was complaining abiut the picture's contents, rather the download time for Dial-up users...

How about just posting a couple of pics and then pasting a link to your photo hosting site so people can choose to pop along and view the rest of them??
Just a thought.
