I am trying to get the best B&W prints from my Canon i9900. Any suggested printer settings that anyone could please share?

I am using either Canon's Photo Paper Pro or Ilford Galerie Classic Pearl paper (using custom profile that they have on their website).

As of now I have been doing straight prints (same settings as if a regular color print) and I am getting decent results but want to see if I can do better.

Thanks,

Bryan

I,too,wish for input...

If you're getting clean results, ie no colour casts (generally magenta), then you're not likely to improve greatly with whatever you do. You may want to experiment with some B&W PS plug-ins such as optikVerve Labs virtualPhotographer: http://www.optikvervelabs.com/default.asp , which allows you to emulate various film and processing combinations (it's a free plug-in)

Cheers

There are no limits, only challenges - me (unless someone else said it first).

Photography is like a good book, you become absorbed by the image, not the syntax and sentence structure - me (unless someone said this first as well).
