Got this idea from another forum. Would like to know what part of the world are you from? Are any 6900 owners in Texas? I myself am from Corpus Christi Texas home of the great beaches.

I did own a 4900 for about 3 months and I have since sold it and purchased the 6900. I also manage to upload a few pictures of the State Capital and a few more events before I sold it.

Hi a2rob, nice idea, I live in France, in the Dordogne (but I am Dutch). I own my 6900 since 2 weeks now. I first considered Nikon 995, but decided for the Fuji after quite a bit of research on the web, including this forum. I use it partly professionaly (I'm an estate agent and website developer), but mainly for private pictures: our kids, flowers, and other beautiful nature and scenery around here. I like the first results a lot, much better than I thought possible for a consumer digicam. I didn't find much time yet to experiment, hope next week. Will post example then.

Hi Rob,

I live in the UK, just outside Manchester.
I did have a FP4900 for about a month, but then upgraded to a FP6900.
Both great cameras.

My sample pics can be found below:

Marshall Islands abouit half way between Hawaii and Australia, just trying to hold the 69 above high tide. Mean altitude 6 ft (two meters)

I live in Connecticut. Purchased a 4900 in March and love it - but I keep reading about how happy you all are with the 6900, only I don't know how I can justify the purchase - maybe I'll wait for the 8900 (:

My pictures are mostly of family, the shore for vacation (light houses, etc.) and of course, my dog - Bailey the world's greatest Bearded Collie.

Hi, I am from Pennsylvania, USA. Porbably the closest person to you so far.

I got a 4900 a few months ago, and then sold it to get the 6900. I take family pictures, amusements, etc. Also for any trips we go on (vacations) I take the camera with. I have a fuji thermo chrome printer and it does a great job for 4 X 6 prints with either the 3 or 6 megapixel resolution set. I think I have almost 2000 images in the last year or so alone. I also have used the Epson 900 for prints and a Tektronix 850DP for prints via photoshop.

I have the Epson 1280 and it prints up to a 13x19 print. Remarkable images! Glad to know that someone is closer to the Lones Star State!!

I live in Switzerland and am proud owner of a 6900 since 3 weeks. Due to some language problems I am reading and learning in this forum. However now I have to reply to Lynn. My pictures are mostly mountains and Loba, the world's greatest Rough Collie. Have a look at

http://de.y42.photos.yahoo.com/noblesnera . (Mike is another dog and these pictures are made by a 995).

You sold the State Capital??

I might need a few tips from you.

London, UK here, and nearly as wet today as the Marshall Islands.

Anyone know of an affordable underwater housing for the 6900/4900?

Hi everyone...i'm from the Netherlands/The Hague and i still don't have a digicam because i can not choose between the fuji 6900 and the sony s85.
Any tips??

Thanx...........

Just got my 6900 a few weeks ago and am still learning and playing. Next I need to choose a printer. I'm leaning toward a kodak (lexmark) or an epson... I probably don't need to print larger than 8x10... I'll figure it out eventually... Anyway...

I'm from beautiful Redondo Beach California. And I'd like to thank everyone in this forum for all the great things they said about this camera as they influenced me to buy it.

Hi a2rob,

I'm sure your idea will prove very interesting. I use a 4900z and take pictures, mostly in the countryside, purely as a hobby. I am lucky enough to live in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, England, where there a lot of photogenic material.
Best wishes,
Fred

Hi a2rob,

Nice idea finding out where we all come from ,using the forums make the World seem a smaller place and I'm grateful for the help I receive from others where ever they are.I suppose the next step up would be to post our self portraits so we all get to know what each other looks like although on second thoughts I've cracked a few mirrors already,Heavens knows what havoc posting a picture of myself across the World would cause to everyones monitors.Any how I'm a 6900 user who has recently upgraded from the 4900 .Born and bred in Tonbridge,Kent,UK and 40 yrs down the road I'm still there.

Best regards to you and every one else who use both ,this forum and others on the site,Nick.

Can't think of any tips, though just read the MANY reviews of both cameras that are posted on the different web sites. Down load a sample of the images and prnt them out as I did with the 4900 and 6900. The 6900 yeilds great clarity....

Check out the Epson 780! I just saw it today in BestBuy. The salesclerk even let me print an 8x10 of her from my smartmedia. It is the same as the 1280 w/o the option of the large format printing.....

I'll figure it out eventually... Anyway...

Greetings from Ljubljana, Slovenia. Fortunately there is great variety packed in a small place giving lots of photographic opportunities. Currently on the Digital IXUS, but seriously considerinbg the 6900.

I'm in Portsmouth, UK. I have the Epson 790 (European name for the 780, I believe) and it is an absolute bargain of a printer. The images are superb, but I do have trouble getting the colour balance right.
