I took several still image photos with the Canon Optura Pi mini dv camera, which records the images to tape. The camera only has a firewire digital out. How do you download the still images onto a disk (without canon's floppy disk accessory)? Thanks. ps, my computer does not have a firewire card. Any workaround? --LMR

I have an Optura (not Pi). I use a Mac and bought Global Village to download into my computer. It has a little hub that you plug the camera into with S video, and then from the hub to the computer witha USB cable. It worked pretty good.

I just got a new imac, and so now I can use firewire, plus I have a G1, so no need for MiniDV still shots.
