Here is an experiment which I was very delighted with the result.
Using a bare A80 I photographed the sky (which was not 100% clear) to observe some constellation that my eye could not arrive. I shot the photo using ISO400 (noise does not effect me), 2.8 aperture, 15sec exposure and B&W setting. When I came home I noted that there was delphinus in the photo with all the faint stars picked by the camera
I composed an illustration of the photo (cropped and shifted slight its gamma) and an illustration of the constellation of delphinus (rotated to be in par with the photo) I was really pleased by the results!

With the naked eye only 4 stars of delphinus could be seen
