Boycott the 20D...

No need to boycott. I suspect the 20D will be used mostly to shoot JPEGs.

The buffer size is a good reason for 10D RAW shooters not to upgrade.

I wasn't happy to see the low figure for RAW buffering, but the quick write to the card (and writing while shooting) is promising.

Certainly shooting 5fps in RAW is going to be frustrating, but I'd also argue that a subject for which 5fps is suitable is probably a subject better suited to large JPEG anyway.

If one shoots a bit more deliberately, say, in single-shot mode at an average of a shot every 1.5 seconds, six shots in the buffer and a fast write might just keep up.

Was this not done with the 10D's problems? Yes it was!

I willl let you in a hint, this is not a flaw camera. Just watch many photographers buy this camera that your called flawed.

I said it has a flaw and it does.
Maybe taking 3 steps (3 frames in this case) backwards is ok with some.
It's just something that Canon did not need to do, but they did.
For a few dollars more they could have made it just right.
Even if they had to charge us a $100 more to get it right.

But like I said earlier, they will probably make the correction in the 20Ds that will come out next year.

whatever I would like and to post whatever I would like within the rules of this forum. Now you sound like a person who is easily influenced and gets their feelings hurt very easily. So I would suggest that you read the forums that show pictures only and don't engage in any camera discussions.

great idea.. we can have a petition too which I'll sign.. and I'll get the camera when the price drops.. since I don't really care too much about raw anyways.

i would if i cared about shooting raw.. I don't have the time to deal with raw files.. I don't see any advantange with it.. it takes way too much time to deal with the proccessing.. etc..
so it really doesn't matter much to me..

I would go for the 20D if I didn't have the 10D already.. I bet there's a bunch of MKII folks wishing they held off...

I think I will wait this round out.. some folks are crazy to think they need every new piece of technology that hits the streets.. amaizing.. sheep..

too many fanatics that can't control themselves.. it's actually comical

I'll just sit back and watch with a grin.. because canon aways baits them in..
