Need help with close up lens

The function of close-up lenses is to get close; not magnify. The closer you move in, the subject will automatically look bigger. Hope this helps...Barry
I have a 1,2, and 4 close up lens but no matter what combination I use I
can still get better magnification with the camera's zoom in macro mode,
I'm using the C2020 camera, what am I doing wrong???

Thanks Barry and Tony, that's true, but the problem is that it will not focus when I move in closer and it will not focus in full zoom no matter how close or far away.Then just move closer.

Is the Olympus B-Macro the best to use with a 2020 or are there other lenses as good for macro images?

I do not have a macro lens set. So far, I have used diopter close-up lenses with my C2000Z. And, I am not familiar with the Olympus option. But I would look at the Macro lens set offered by bugeyedigital.com; it looks like a viable candidate.
