What did you shoot/process today, Aug. 9

I can see where he got his name
Hi Hannah,
Actually his name came from a cheap perfume company. I was holding
Skeeter like a baby one day, playing and scratching his tummy, and
while I was doing it I was saying "scratch a belly". It reminded me
of the perfume company Prince Matchabelli so I said to myself that
I was naming my next cat Prince Scratchabelli - and I did! :-)
Great name. We have two cats, one of which absolutely loves a tummy rub. (But, only when the tummy is presented-otherwise, hands off!)

The Ring Nebula in the Constellation, Lyra. Located about 2500
light-years away, it's the death throes of a star. 23 shots taken
with Canon A80 and then stacked into one. I took the shots this
weekend and processed it last night.

Anyone else doing astro photography?
Very nice shot! I haven't tried any astro photography yet. I have a Celestron Starhopper 8" dob, so any astro stuff I do would be limited to very bright objects, like the moon and brighter planets. I't definitely on my to-do list.

If the weather is decent, I plan to take a shot at the Perseids this week.

Here's a sequence of photos I shot with my S1 in Continuous Shot mode, and assembled in PhotoShop:

Most of these frames are cropped somewhat. I had a hard time following him in the last few frames.

what a nice sequence and downloaded fine on my slow dialup. I really like your hawk pictures.

to take that picture. I found a copperhead but he was coiled so was afraid to try for a picture.
