Sorry, I know there are lots of "camera bag" threads about, and this question has probably been answered for me already.. but here we go anyway..

Right now I have a Lowepro mx10 camera bag which is pretty small. My c770 (plus 2 spare batteries, spare card and remote) fits nicely into it and I wear it on my belt a lot (I had to just check to verify that I'm wearing it right now lol!). I love the fact that I can have the camera with me and hardly even know it. But lens protection and filters are getting in the way of my little bit of nirvana!

When I go hiking, riding, blading or for walks, I keep the cla-4 adaptor and pola filter in my pocket and I have my camera at my side (ie not in my backpack) for quick access. But once I get the adaptor and polarizer onto it, I wish I could keep it on because (a) I'm lazy and (b) it does seem like good protection and (c) it does feel good for holding and (d) it looks kinda cool!

I just wish there was a camera bag that wouldn't be too huge for the c770 + CLA-4 adaptor so that I could keep it on my belt.

Is there such a beast? Any other ideas out there?

Thanks in advance,
Wayne

I got an older Olympus IS case for use with my C-700 with the CLA-4 tube, filter, and lenscap and it attaches to my belt...sorry, but I don't have the model number, but in another Oly group someone said it's Olympus Item #108408 which is currently ONLY $2.95 + $2 shipping + tax!

Picture of it on my belt:

I now remember seeing the picture of your camera bag from a previous post that you made. I had started down that road of excellent information of yours, and then somehow got detoured! So thank you very much for posting it again.

Even though it came out to a whopping $5.30 total (taxes and shipping included Lol!), I went for it and ordered it.

It actually looks like it might do the trick!

Thanks again,

Wayne

Try Olympus 200862 (3.75X4X3.25) or 200766 (3 3/4X5X2 3/4) . Both have belt loops. Each is about $20.

Which has those "Width 3.75" x Height 4.00" x Depth 3.25" dimensions:

The Olympus #200862 appears to be a camera lens (TCON-17), not a
bag...sure you got the number right?

I use this with my C-770, spare batteries and extension telephoto lens

the whole package weighs less than three pounds. I have other photos of it in my "In box" at pbase

I use the Olympus 200-526 which was made for the D-500L/D-600L but works nicely for the C-770 with lens tube & UV filter. It looks very similar to the bag in Mike-PEAT's picture EXCEPT, it has two additional compartments: one that holds two batteries and a second with a zipper on the velcro top for xD cards and remote. It fits on my belt, but I do notice it.

I have Olympus 200437 (inside: 5W x 3.5D x 4.5H). It fits my C-765 with a len adapter tube perfectly. The case can hold a camera in a vertical or horizontal (LCD at the bottom) position. It has a belt loop and shoulder strap.

200436 might also work. If it does it would be a snug fit.
Thanks for posting the image! It looks good. I'll see if the one
I've got on order works, and if not, 200437 might be the one.

Thanks again!

I also like the Nova line from Lowepro. Not really a solution that would work for the belt, but very nice bags. I have the Nova 1 and the Nova Micro. The Nova Micro is a little smaller than the Nova Mini that Trond mentioned, but will still hold the camera, batteries and a filter or two.

Also, I know a lot of folks like the Lowepro TLZ Mini (a top load mini bag).

You are correct. It should have been 200436! I don't know what excuse to use: Old age , stupidity, carelessness, or "other."

Fyi, I found the Lowepro D-res 25AW bag (shown on the right below). My c770 with CLA4 adaptor, filter and lens cap fits nicely into it (as well as 2 spare batteries, 1 spare card and 1 remote).

My previous bag was a Lowepro MX10 (shown on the left below). It was shorter than the 25AW, but because the thickness of the 25AW is about the same, I don't notice the 25AW bag much more when it is on my belt, which is great. This finally allows me to have my lens tube on permanently.
