3 Pics from my latest Shooting

The only thing I don't care for in the images is the blown highlights....if that's your style...OK, just think that the overexposure in #1 & 3 detract from the model.

You can do high key with out blowing out the highlights....unless of course that is your style........My opinion....

I'm always amused when people assume others are "bent out of shape". Dont give yourself that much credit.

You see those eyes as natural. I've never seen natural eyes that obviously unnatural. I'm okay with that. And it isnt the eye COLOR I have a problem with.

-GageFX
No biggie. Great shots anyway. And I have no prob w/ you reflection
in the eyes. You were there. It's to be expected.

-GageFX
The eyes never looked photo shopped to me. I hate to see lots of
PS work , especially on the eyes. Interestingly, when you get it
right, everyone think you used Photo Shop. Again, great job!

aso you can see there is NO PS :-) OK OK i should have removed MY
shadow! because thats what you see as i stand above her on a chair
in front of my 1,2M ocotobox..i didnt realized that this will be
visible :-)
Don't get all bent out of shape over it! What I see is an image
that is way too sharp for my taste, but do not see any selective
fix-up on the eyes. My mother had very bright blue eyes that
looked amost unnatural and I have a friend who has very similar
eyes.

You win the ****** award for the day. You are the front runner for the annual award. I'll let you know how it turns out.

How many ways to I have to say they look "unnatural" before you fess up? Oh, I didnt say "contacts"? My bad.

If you look at the lower right of the iris, might that be a hint of
the natural grey/blue eye color? That's what it looks like to me,
but I could be wrong...

Nice work!

Not giving myself credit for anything. When you say things like, "And those eyes look NATURAL to you? No point in me arguing ..." and "Dont give yourself that much credit", indicate you are bent out of shape over it.

Unnatural is becoming more natural looking since we see so many people wearing colored contacts. I'm curious what action you'd take if you have a client to sit for a portrait who wear unnatural looking colored contacts all the time.

That would be "please show up without any colored contacts in your eyes as they tend to look unnatural. If you want to try a different eye color I'll change them in post for you."

That usually settles it. We clear or do you have more sh!t to start?

that girl is beautiful and your shots are wonderful. i would have to agree with others who said the eyes are distracting. i thought for sure that you photoshopped them, but you claim that you didn't. well maybe you should photoshop them to bring down the intensity of her eyes. they are way too distracting. also, the fact that she's a redhead and very fairskinned--it further makes her eyes look out of place, as most, not all, redheads have brown eyes. so the vivid blue and the orange kind of clash. just my opinion tho.

Good call Shannon - my wife works for a vision center and she came home with the green ones in...freaked me out at first. I spotted these right off as well. You want "real" ocean blue, think Mel Gibson or something like that. ~ m²

I couldn't said it better myself!

The thing that is missing is - I believe - experience. I love his photos! Beautyful girls, nice lighting style.

Your photos will have a pro look in a short while. Keep on shooting! And make sure to post them!

Viktor

Happy shooting!
I don;t know what it is but it seems like you are almost "there".
You have a beautiful girl and some very cool lighting technique,
but it needs something else. Maybe you have it in the rest of the
shots.

IMO the pose in #1 is too uncomfortable looking, #2 is 'ok' but
what's with the hands in the hair? and in #3 make a choice, are you
shooting her face or her shoulder or her chest., pick one.

Did you use a make up or hair stylist?

M

The lighting on all three looks very nice to me. The contrast of the blue eyes and the red hair is very striking, although it seems intensified to the point of looking a little bit fake. The leg position on #1 is flattering, but the arms seem akwardly placed. I like the playful #2 pose with the hands and the hair. #3 is the best overall IMO. Overall a very nice effort. Keep it up!

I really thought they were photoshopped. The eyes look really strange to me, but what the heck - i guess under certain lighting conditions anything can happen.

again, i apologize :)

her is a slightly corretect version

Then again, you said "there is NO PS editing in the eys!"

"PS" includes PSP or any other editing software you use.

Nice stuff, though.

-GageFX
It's so obvious that you used photoshop to remove the catchlights.
That's a mistake - you have to design light in a way that you won't
have to photoshop that much.
