For two weeks I was at the Openlucht Museum in Arnhem, after beeing there as a kid the last time, I'm really impressed!!! It's a great place to practise your photo skills :-) very diverse

Nice idea, but I'm bogged down in work at the moment... So I probably won't be able to make it.

Belgiumdigital regularly organises shooting days, the next one is on 12 august in the Zoo of Antwerp. Why not team up with them? I have no idea whether anyone can join the BD shooting days or you have to be a member but it would be an ideal way to get a big(ger) group and at the same time get some incredible specialists with great gear involved. The Zoo and Antwerp in general aren't too bad for photo opportunities either.

I'm from Zeeuwsch-Vlaanderen. So I'm Dutch but also a bit Flemish :-)
Maybe a place in Zeeuwsch-Vlaanderen would be perfect for a meeting?

I visited the Nikon D70 Road-show today at Kinepolis Gent, but in the session I was in, I think I was the only one from Holland.

Hi Broekie,

It is it is :-)

At least once a year I have to go there with members of my family in law (Japanese) so you maybe can image how it is for me to come there :-)

Still I like the park, I also know it quite well now, I don't get lost anymore like the first few times :-)

A good tip, go there in winter, when it's cold and not windy, with the ice on the big ponds and the houses in the background it's a wonderful (touristic) scenery, and not much people in front of the camera

Nice idea! Although I am affraid I don't have time for it, when it is possible for me to join it, I wil try. For me it would be a nice way to learn from 'you experts' as beginner in (digital)photography.

I live in Eindhoven. Relatively central for NL and Be, but not a very interresting city.

hi !

if I'm available, I could be interested in such a meeting. Am from Aalst, Belgium. Mostly beginner photographer though ;-)

About that Roadshow, I wonder how interesting that is??

I got very excited when first hearing about them, some month ago (?) but when finding out the details, it seemed more targeted at ppl interested in buying a D70, and not at all interesting for people who have a D70 (and who have read the manual carefully also)...
I mean, ±2 hours for a 50 ppl group!?

Anyone been to the roadshow and having a great experience ?

Fred, I agree that it looks very much like a sales pitch for the D70 but I'm still going along (Braine l'Alleud 19:00-21:00 on 13/8) because I'm sure there will still be something to learn. I Love my D70 and discover something new almost every day. I'm hoping they'll also demo some lenses.
 
The next Belgiumdigital shooting day is NOT on the 12th of August !
It's on 12th of September (one month later).

At first sight, it seemed to me an attractive idea... but then I remembered that I am on vacation abroad at that specific time in September.

By the way, looking at the list of attending photographers at the Belgiumdigital shooting day, it probably will be a huge group of visitors coming to the Antwerp Zoo. If we all are joining them, the Antwerp Zoo will be having nearly -only- photographers crawling around at their place. :-)

Maybe The Hague is nice? Been wanting to go there and take some shots for some time now, but haven't had the time yet...

Hello,

Actually i had the same idea in the back of my head.. but then again, we need to be consequent... not that the Holland visitors need to travel 3 or more hours.... somewhere more central would be nice. Although Brugge is a nice location, or Gent...:-)

Hallo iedereen:

Vroeger zag je alleen een kudde fototoestellen met Japanners eraan. Maar dat gaat dus veranderen. Het lijkt me leuk om daar aan mee te doen. Hollanders samen met Belgen wordt vast heel gezellig.
Ik woon vlak bij Delft, als er wordt gecarpooled rij ik graag heen ;)
