We have a beautiful forest not far from our home, and it's a great place to go walking, and snap a few shots. There's no waterfalls, or anything thrilling like that to shoot, but it's pretty place in the summer time. These are a few I shot during a recent walk, which was cut short because of the enormous amount of mosquito bites I had to endure :) Just a few level adjustments and resize. Shot with the S7000.

Thanks, Treeman. I just wish the skeeters weren't so bad. Everybody's afraid of west nile here, because we had so many deaths last year. Now they are shutting down the local lakes because of dangerous toxic algae levels in the water. Oh my :)

Hi Mike
I like the composition you made in the first one. Last one with the
bridge is really nice. Leads you right into it.

Thanks, Mike. I wasn't sure how that first one would look on the screen, but it was a great view in person. It retained some of that, and I'm glad.

Thanks, Jim. It's a great place to go, and relax, This time of year, there are tons of butterflies and birds to shoot also. The problem is once you get there, you just want to set and stair at the trees :)

Thanks, Dave. The bridge is one of the swaying kind, and it's actually up very high over water. My kids love to get on it, and start it swinging. Really nice, when your trying to shoot pictures from a swinging bridge :)

looks like a lovly place Mike. It's so hard to hold a camara steady when all you want to do is scratch.

all of them are nice, but I especially like the third one...... although it might not be a good idea for you and I to walk over that one at the same time ;-)

Peace,
