Eliminating Moire?

I am a new D70 owner and I have had the camera approximately one month.

I shot some motorsport pictures at Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK and was pleased with the pictures.

Upon printing an A4 pic of an F1 car (BAR Honda) I noticed the dreaded moire on one part of the car - black carbon fibre rear wing end (picture shot in raw mode using 18 - 70 DX kit lens).

Can anyone give advice how to eliminate this?

Do you mean in post processing or during shooting?

There is a function in Capture that removes Moire, although I have no idea how effective it is. It also only works on NEF files so unless you were shooting RAW then it won't be of any use.

There are a number of third party photoshop plugins that claim to reduce Moire. Again however I've not tried them so can't vouch for them. A bit of googling turns up quite a few options.

Incidentally, did all your shots of that car have the same problem?
