Did I fool ya?

I was in the mall parking lot and saw this tree. A trailer truck was parked beside it so I took a picture of the most interesting part of the bark.

That must be that new military stealth bark developed by the Pentagon

Hi Frank,

Interesting shot. Did you do any post manipulation. That sky seems extremely blue, and I LIKE IT! :o)

My idea Of Man

You can't tell much about The Grain,
By looking at the bark.
Yet here in the 90's from place to place
From daylight until dark
A lot of people judge us,
By what we wear or haven't got.
-
A lot of you have never tried
To see the sort of man inside
The bark may be a little rough
With here and there a scar
But that really isn't quite enough
To tell the man you are.
-
The bark, you see, is not the test
The barks the unimportant part
The only things that matters
Is what your holding in your heart
-
So maybe now you will understand
Why I'm a little slow
To praise the clothes and manners grand
Until the man, I know.
-
I want to know not what you wear,
But how much you love, and how you share
How much you help
And what you do,
To see The Grain..
Inside of you.

Hi Vance,

Thank's for your comments. Here is the original without any manipulation and the picture I previously posted. The E-10 was set to soft sharpness and low contrast.

I used the sliders in levels to set the "black" and "white" points to 0 and 255.
I used curves to add a bit of contrast.
I added some saturation.
I used unsharp mask.
All manipulations were done in RGB.

The final result may emphasize the blue a little, but I think it's fairly close to the actual scene. I wanted sufficient saturation and contrast for the blue sky to set off the white bark.
