just out of curiosity, why is it read from right to left and not left to right?
00011011, starting from the right hand side (if you read down the
first column you will see the number 00011011, as if you read it
right to left. reading down the second colum gives you the value
of each place. the third column is what is being contributed by
each place.)

1 x 1 = 1
1 x 2 = 2
0 x 4 = 0
1 x 8 = 8
1 x 16 = 16
0 x 32 = 0
0 x 64 = 0
0 x 128 = 0

1 + 2 + 0 + 8 + 16 = 27

there are 10 types of people in the world. those that understand
binary, and those that do not. ; )

If I gave you the number 198,244,555,236,098,222,509,566,000,000
in decimal, you would read it from right to left also. Once you get
past the billions, it's tough to know what power of 10 to apply.
The easy answer: you're used to decimal but not binary.

Jimmy Carter, graduate of the Naval Post Graduate School and nuclear submarine alumnus, pronounces it the same way W does: nookyooler.

A former submarine rider myself, that always bugs me when I hear that.
But of course this is Texas, where spellin are optional.
No it not!
Yes it be. Just as G. W. Bush. Can you say "nuculear,"
boys and girls?

Me too! For cryin' out loud, these guys are accompanied by
the "football." They should at least be able to pronounce what
it is the button releases.

...remembered me the old days of Sinclair-Spectrum.

But the watches were so interesting and obvious clues.

Doug,

I didn't want it to be easy. That was a clue. I am either 38, 66, 102, or something else. Also I thought it was spelled that way (Jacinto). Then I checked several web sites that spelled it Jacento and since the internet is never wrong, when in Rome........LOL
I thought it was spelled Taxas. Just like Ohio is spelled Ahia.
Hi, Mel,

Or maybe you're 168 year old.

It's properly spelled San Jacinto.

But of course this is Texas, where spellin are optional.

Best regards,

Doug
