'father and son playing' a panorama from Newport Bch., Ca.

... away things or scenes are easy as I have learned. Parallax is truly a problem on CLOSE subjects... it is actually death for a pano it will simply not work.

But, just try it out. Hang on to your digicam at chest level against your chest and just take three shots as you rotate on wide angle. Make sure thewre is nothing near you other than the ground beneath your feet.

Place through PS CS and you'll be surprised at the results...

These panos below was shot hand held with the CP5700 and stiched in PSCS... I was pretty impressed it came out at all.

However, it illustrates another difficulty and that is non static objecys like water or PEOPLE. On the first shot, you can actually see a kid chopped in half :-))

For close up stuff, PANO HEAD is a MUST ...

I love the dimension or scale the building gives it. Thanks Sir!
This is a fantastic shot that I'm going to try and emulate with my
son and grandson.

If I get anywhere near your quality I'll be well pleased.

Personally, I would crop the building out to emphasise the two
people alone in the elements, but that's not a criticism, just an
opinion.

Mr Nowhere, just to let you know that I have been celebrating your "return" to the forum very quietly due to work constraints - I'm awed by all the images you've been bombarding us with lately, and it's a real privilege to be enjoying your pics again! This image has to be one of the best you've posted.

Thanks!!!

I agree. This one was done with an Olympus C3000, hand held, and JASC Photo Album.

I havent used a pano head yet, and dont see the use yet. Will have to get one for architecture maybe.
