lens conversion to EOS mount

They're missing the Leica L37 to EOS adapter... in all my searches, I've come to think that it doesn't exist at all. Which is a shame, the L37 Zeiss Sonnars and Biogons still rival today's best lenses. And they're all tiny and light to top it all off.
Happen to stumble upon this site...they convert every other lens
mount to EOS mount...Cool ain't it
According to a latest issue of a Jap Photo mag, they also convert
other lenses to the Oly 4/3 mount
Cheers

L37 is a rangefinder mount IIRC. It will not fit on an SLR due to the mirror box. Biogons in particular will never work on SLRs as they need to be too close to the film/sensor plane. This is why they are tiny and light vs. SLR lenses.

Thanks for explaining that to me. I've actually got a set of Russian rangefinder gear - identical (stolen) design to the Zeiss Sonnars and Biogons. Was always wondering why I couldn't find an adapter to do L37 to EOS.

To fit them on my 10D, I use a L37 to M42 adapater, then a M42 to EOS adapter. You're right about the Biogon - it won't fit at all because of the mirror.

The Sonnars are ok. But you lose infinity focus, as they are too far away from the sensor. On the up side, they are great for macro focus, and the 50mm f2 allows me to focus as close as 17cm. That's closer than the Canon 50mm f2.5 I believe.
