My 300D neck strap seems to be always...upside down, doesn´t matter the way I attach it to the camera. If "EOS DIGITAL" is correct, then "CANON" is upside down. If "CANON" is is correct, you know the rest. Is it only my strap like that?

Sticking to the back of my neck in the dead heat of summer.

I couldn't stand the neck strap that came with the Digital Rebel. It's WAY too sticky.

I'm using the strap that came with my film Rebel XS kit. Both sides is cloth-like. Just says "Canon" on it, red and blue striped. Much more comfortable.

Actually, I deliberately installed mine upside down so that it doesn't SCREAM Canon all the time. Since when does a neck strap need traction?

That sounds nice, do you know if we could purchase it separately?
I don't like my 300D strap as it's always twisted.....like the telephone cord.

Do yourself a favor and check out the lowerpro neoprene strap with swivels and quick releases . Also, Domke has a canvas strap with swivels and similar quick release . You can get both at B&H.

I'm pretty sure I've taken a picture of that...I just can't find it.

Seeing as my girlfriend (now wife) got it for me about 9 years ago, I doubt it's still available.

If I remember correctly, it was a part of the Rebel "kit" and didn't come with the camera itself. Also came with a cleaning kit (solution, cloth, bulb/brush).

Yes, this is normal.

When you look down at the camera strap while wearing, each side looks like the bottom of the word is towards you, or at least towards the center of your chest.

This is how all 300D straps are.

While it might not be "normal", this is what Canon put on all 300Ds.

Look again at the picture... bottom of words "canon" are towards the center of my chest, but "eos digital " bottom of the words are NOT towards the center of my chest!

Making allowance for the unreversed mirror image, both "Canon" and EOS Digital" read from top to bottom, likes the spines on American (but not British) books.

Both would read properly to an observer standing in front of you to your left, perhaps a beautiful passer-by impressed by your silver camera.

Is it "correct" - not sure that that would mean. I assume it is consistent with the drawings for the strap printing.

Best regards,

Doug

IMO its intended that way, so you always have it the "right" way 'round, no matter what way you put it!

It'd look kind of stupid if you wore your neck strap "all" the way the rong way around :-)
