way) and story!
So nice from you. Thanks.Yehuda,
Thanks for showing these. Well exposed, good work, as always. A
pleasure for the photographic eye!
Great comment, thank you.Yehuda, it is really nice to be able to travel with you thru
Russia! Thanks.
Yuri photos are considerably better, I have to admit. The portrait is very, very nice and shows the beauty of the Russian
women just as Yuri has been posting for us.

And this is a real riddle: This young lady with her video camera
appeared out of the blue on our first day in Moscow, and joined our
bus for 5 full days, video'ing from every conceivable angle. On our
last day in Moscow she brought into the front seat of the bus a TV
set, showed us her film, and offered it for $30. This film had an
important advantage, as it included canned shots of places that we
were not allowed to shoot in (e.g., the Red Square area from
inside).
All I know about her that she's 17 (a school student) and her name
is Dasha. All my efforts to communicate with her failed
unfortunately.
I took this photo of her at the Borodino Museum, just out of Moscow
(about the museum – later).
Technically: I bounced the flash from the wall to the right of me.

How do you get random people to pose for you (ie the girl at the
bottom)?
Sam Sing here.what i'll do often, if i want a street portrait, vs. a street
candid, is i'll say something like: "gee, you look really great,
right there, may i take your photograph?" i rarely get turned
down...
Not unless he climbs out of his grave. He and his wife lieIf I come in, Nikolae Chaushesku might prevent me going out.
Hey, everybody's got a "Gimmic" for making moneyThis painter is working at St. Petersburg (in Russian it is Sankt
Peterburg). In the front we see one of the many channels dug at
Peter the Great time (imitating the famous Venice channels). Ahead
we can see a wing of the Church of Our Savior on the Spilled Blood.
Many people passing by had a short chat with the painter. It was a
pleasure to watch him at work: every minute or so he stepped back a
few steps, inspected his creation, than came back and made some
corrections here and some corrections there.
Technically: I used a very weak fill-in.

I don't blame you. Perhaps "assassinated" was too kind a word.
Actually, they were executed.
I neglected to compliment you on your fine photographs.
I am enjoying them as always.
Simply wonderful. Thank you.Yehuda, I'm saving all these in a folder for my own use. My wife
loves the Russia at night photos.
You make me blush... so kind from you.And I have to say, you are the master at fill flash portraits.
