Hi! First of all, thanks for the large file warning -- much appreciated.
I like the composition and the subject's facial expression, but the lighting is so harsh that it looks as though you used the on-board flash in a dark room. I think it would work better as a natural light or diffused light portrait. Very photogenic subject, though! BTW, if the origiinal had red eye, you did a fantastic job retouching it!

Yes, indeed this was shot with the D70 onboard flash and fired in a very dark room. There was no natural light available which was a shame...
The eyes were not retouched. It came right out of the camera this way.
The skin was softened a bit using neat image in photoshop.

nice looking kid but......
1. too harsh
2. the teeth look fake
3. trim the UNIbrow (no offense in intended)
the "softness" that you gave it doesn't look good in a portrait
not sure what/how
not trying to be rude
great camera
nice attempt
but.......
keep posting
and have that nice looking young man fix his eyebrows before taking such a closeup
