Lost a Big part of my life today

We have a history of bulldogs, British and Frenchies. It's hard when a friend dies, especially one that snorts snot all over you, snores to keep you awake, and then farts when you are eating dinner. Truly irreplaceable..... RIP Jed.

From one bully parent to another.....
God i am lost.

Billy:

I am very sorry for your loss of Jed. He certainly looks like he was a wonderful fellow.

I can understand your feelings; as, two weeks ago, we lost a pet who was born in our bedroom some 18 years ago.

Cliff

I understand your anguish, I have also been there in the past and will be there again in the future. Our pets ask so little of us, and yet give us so much in return. Your caring is obvious, take comfort in your memories, and of all that you did to give Jed a happy life. It's plain to see that he was well loved, and isn't that really one of the best things you can say about anyone?

You are not alone, any animal lover understands your loss, I certainly do.

Take Care, Bob

Never in my life, have I been as attached to other animals, as I was to the cat and dog I owned. The cat I had for 5 years, and had to have him put to sleep 2 months ago, and the dog I owned for 13 years, and he died just several weeks ago. The pain is still great, it really is like losing a family member. It's okay to grieve, and to cry, and to get mad. Things will improve with time, and cherish the time you had together. If you haven'y already done this, please visit the rainbow bridge here, and read the poem, and then visit the forum there. It helped me through this.

God i am lost.
That statement says it all.

I remember when you posted Jed in the "Show me your dogs" thread and am truly sorry to hear of your loss. My first canine companion is only three and I dread the day he passes as I know life will never be the same when he goes. Not worse, just different.

Thank you for allowing us to share in your loss,
Jason

Very sorry to hear of your loss. Some folks cannot understand the attachment we have towards our pets, but for those of us who have them, we fully understand. Take some time to cry (it's normal), and one day when you feel up to it, I'm sure you have tons of really nice photos of the pooch you can make a nice photo set from to frame and hang on the wall as a nice memorial.

I can't really deal with the tough part, but could probably recall lots of good times over such a long period.
I have had so many adopted friends over many years..............
He was a lucky guy to have had such an attentive partner.
Best regards,

God i am lost.

It is so tough to handle... A family member.... The only thing that will help is time and right now time won't hurry up enough.... I've been there and it hurts so much... I am very sorry for your loss...

It's hard to think about it now but you need to think about getting a puppy... He will live on in your new puppy....
God bless... Be ok as soon as it will let you...

Nice looking pooch.
Our beloved pets die. We've all faced the hard truth.
Lost my Lab of 12yrs not long ago. Just hated it! Leaves a big
dog sized hole in your heart

I rememeber seeing a bumper sticker once that read, " I wish I was half the man my dog thinks I am."
Good luck,
I got another Lab. Happy to have a new companion.
Keep your pictures, make new ones.

Sometimes Greg i wish i was one of those people who do not understand the attachment people have with there pets it would be a lot less painfull when that day comes but then you know dogs like Jed would not be loved the way he so did deserve.

Photos you know i did not have many at all till i got my S7000 about 3 months ago now i have 100s so i will start on that memorial soon

A new puppy i still have my little girl(Jeds niece)we will see how she goes as she is having a hard time with out Jed she has been very close to him all her life i do not realy won't to go through this again but thats what i said the last time.

You see i had Jed and Pagsley(brothers)and Pagsley had to have major operations on hes back which did not work and i lost him(aged 3 years) Jed took it so hard and stoped eating the vet said the only thing two do was to get another dog to save him so i did thats krystal(see photo below) she saved Jed now she is doing it hard she is eating but can not be left alone.
