Grandma's Boom Box

Dogleader,

Boy that looks like a nice one. I have one that is low and wider. It's in real bad shape. Veneer off in spots and the legs are pretty beat up. Nice photo.

That thing is in excellent condition. One knows their getting up in the years when you can still remember using stuff like this. I wish I knew what happened to all the old 78rpm records my mom and dad had. Original Frank Sinatra, Nelson Eddy, Jeanette McDonald. I can still hear them singing "I am calling you ooooh.....oooooooh.......oooooooh!" and see them also paddling the canoe in the beautifully filmed black and white movie.

Nice shot for a beginning. If you get a chance, do an entire workup. Macros, full size etc. The way things are going economically, you may need to sell it at the Antique Road show! :)
Where do I plug in the earphones and what size battery does it take.

Boy thats a beauty. I remember my folks had one in our basement when i was small. Ive always wondered where it went and wish I had it along with some other stuff like a big grinding wheel on a stand that you sat on and turned pedals and a very large hand corn grinder used on farms. Some amazing ingenuety (cant spell it)as well as beauty in those old hand powered things.

Grab yourself another one of those (okay, just try to picture this) Put some tunes down on both of them and start scratching. Now, wait, listen, You could be an acustic remixer. Ahh it would be sweet. Okay maybe not. Just an insanly stupid idea.
