um, becuase it's obvious that 10d = canon?

how come you are so rude? typically, folks will come into a thread, comment good or bad, and engage in polite, civil discourse. all one has to do is look at your posting history and see that you stalk and harrass me.

if you have a problem bub, come on out and say it, don't pussyfoot around.

andy

I hit 'post' too soon on that first one.

Just wondering if you'll still be posting here in P&S land when you've got a Canon 1dMkII?

And obtw, the last time I 'came out and said it' you know what your response was.. and we know what that led to don't we?

Since you don't know what stalk or harrass mean ( and I give up caring that you don't), at LEAST learn that on the 'net - the 'wink' [i.e., ;)] means something different than a 'smile' aka :)

Andy,

I thought I tol' ya not to go stirrin' up trouble in the minds of those Minoltains ;-)

What could you have possibly done to cause people to travel from other forums to cr@p on you? Man, I hope you don't make a living doing PR......lol

Seriously, how sad and petty is this stuff? It's a shame that you have to deal with it. I wouldn't blame you for exploding one of these days and telling some of your "admirers" to take a flying leap at a rolling donut. Remember, getting banned is only temporary ;-).....lol

Hang in their buddy. You know that 99% of us don't feel the way that Calvin does :-)

Congrats on your new purchase.......

a wonderful choice, Andy. Were you ever nervous about getting a unit that has / had focus problems in any way? I know that was only ocassionally complained about and not everyone had that problem with their 10D...... obviously, yours is focusing PERFECTLY :-)

What a team now......
a perfect 10D and Andy Williams.... Look OUT NY!

I'd do the same thing but, that 500 or 600 extra bucks is stock for my cards and matted prints..... my priorities are straight at least :-)

to own the same toy. I like #2 very much. I guess no flash at all?

I have a friend who owns one but does not take that much pictures. I think he won't miss it for a week or so. I wonder what I could do with the 10D in natural light, hehe.

Cheers,

Andy,

How did you settle on the 10D? I am looking to add a DSLR to my 828 and have looked at a few (10D, D100, E-1). I long ago got rid of all my film gear, so there is no existing lens collection to influence me.

I really like to 10D's silky images and lack of noise, but I also like the idea of the E-1 system (small, dedicated lenses, etc.).

Just wondering what was the most influential factor for you.

Regards,
Chuck

hi chuck

first of all, i had the rebel and a bunch of glass. so the better question is why did i settle on canon? the cmos sensor i really dig, the image quality is so good. secondly, the lenses. i really like the canon glass assortment.

nikon? top quality stuff, too. the d70, d100 and their glass is first rate.

e-1? i looked hard at it. limited lens selection... otherwise i like the build and specs of that camera ;-)

i upgraded from the rebel to the 10d for the advanced feature set.

cheers,

andy
