You would read more than just one of the 66 books in the bible. Then you view would not be so narrow. But it seems to me you got stuck in Leviticus.
As I said before, I've done a great deal of work in the gay

"Dear Dr. Laura:

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding G-d's Law.
I have learned a great deal from your show, and I try to share that
knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to
defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them
that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of
debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of
the specific laws and how to follow them.

a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it
creates a pleasing odour for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my
neighbours. They claim the odour is not pleasing to them. Should I
smite them?

b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in
Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair
price for her?

c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in
her period of menstrual uncleanness (Lev.15:19-24). The problem is,
how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male
and female, provided they are purchased from neighbouring nations.
A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not
Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

e) I have a neighbour who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus
35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally
obligated to kill him myself?

f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an
abomination (Lev. 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than
homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

g) Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of G-d if I
have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading
glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle
room here?

h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the
hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden
by Lev.19:27. How should they die?

i) I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig
makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two
different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing
garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester
blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really
necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town
together to stone them? (Lev.24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them
to death at a private family affair like we do with people who
sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident
you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is
eternal and unchanging.

Your devoted disciple and adoring fan."

To answer all my critics; simple point. The natural argument of
logic. Two men can not reproduce life just as two women can't.

Let's just suppose there is a God. Wouldn't he be confused if he
created two males or two females only and commanded them to be
fruitful and replenish the earth... impossible assignment. Fact is
God didn't create two same sex beings. You and I are all here
because of natural laws of reproduction.

Let's just for the sake of arguemt say we all turn gay tomorrow.
What would happen to life on earth. Eventually, we would all die.

Believe what you like ... say what you like. The fact is,
homosexuality is not natural. It's sickening to think that a one
man would want to insert his male reproductive organ is an orafice
created to release human feces. Its' filthy.

No matter how you look at it... that's perverse.

Again... GAME, SET, & MATCH

Again, I respect you views. But truthly, we makes choices. Where we end up is a matter of choice. Have great day and take some great shots.

We'll discuss this in more detail later. My first post to this thread came from utter discuss. I'm heterosexual... I don't need a parade to promote or celebrate that. And if I did, I see no point in nudity, vulgar behavior to do so. That's what I find hard to understand. If you're homosexual, them be homosexual and not some type of exhibitionist.
When you choose to have any sexual encounter, does some mysterious
force over take you and you lose all control over your faculties?
Yes...........you're human desire.
Is it that you are under some hypnotic spell that renders you
powerless to say no?
Yes............
I'm a married man (26) years.
Congratulations!!!
During that time, I've had several
opportunities to break my vows. I had a choice to make. The
strongest thing on the face of this earth is the human will. It's
all a matter of volition. God loves you so much he allows you to
make your own choices.
Agreed.
He does that because if you love him, you will choose to love him.
Although he is all powerful, he never violates or compromises our
power to choose. So don't tell me that you can't make a choice. I
know you can.
Did you choose to be straight?? Are you straight by choice?? Or
born straight??

Was there a specific point in your life where you woke up and said

I'm not perfect.
Nobody is.
Even though I'm a pastor, I still have to make
choices every day. There are times when temptations present
themselves. Guess what? Sometimes I do well other times I fall.
But when I do I get right back up and try to do better the next
time. Is it hard.... YES. But it's all a matter of developing
discipline... ergo disciple.
And good for you.............but in the end..........you are not
judged by how many times you got up..................or how many
times you fell.
Listen, I appreciate your views however let's both just try to do
the best we can with what we have.
Aite...........but really the only thing that upsets me was your
very first statement...............which hopefully you didn't mean.
And people who are so filled with hatred to say things like these:

"No im insecure with homos taking over the world.

Everyone has their 'thing' I dont like a bunch of gays running
around pretending its ok when they know it isnt. They know better.
You know better. Im not a religious man much anymore but God spoke
the words but I have enough brains to know its nasty and wrong. My
opinion....End of discussion...."

Of course :-)

If you don't like gay people just say so don't go with that old "i'm not a racist but i think all black people should be shot" -attitude...
So why the world is bombed with all this gay tv and gay this and
gay that Im the one who needs to grow up?
Well yes, it's weird how it has to be so interesting... but why watch?
My 2 boys are exposed with all this and I cant do anything about
it. But gays have all the rights in the world? Makes no sense to me.
"exposed" hmm... i'm quite young and grew up in a probably way more open minded world towards gay people then you did... still i have never had any attraction against people of the same sex that i am... i think your sexuality is way deeper down then what a few tv-shows can affect.

There is a difference in rights for things you can do and rights to things that you can forbid others to do, remember that...
I dont hate gays but Im just worried that the way its going you
have to be gay now or bisexuall to be cool now days.
yes it might seem that way but your sexuality is (usually) somethign yo ufeel for whole your life, not a trend...
Funny coming from me. Im open minded and love people and enjoy
Doesen't sound like that...
I just have concerns as a parrent
So you are okay with gay people but couldn't still stand your son being one...? sounds like controversy and hipocrisy to me...

but lets all pretend you don't. :)
since it's soooo very hard for you to comprehend.

Man + woman = possibility of producing another human life.

Man + Man = 0 possibility of ever producing another human life.

Woman + woman = 0 possibility of ever producing another human life.

Now unless you're extremely obtuse or suffering from brain damage,
you CAN understand my argument. It's a natural argument.

End of discussion. Point well made. GAME, SET, MATCH :)
So, according to your logic, I guess infertile men or women should
simply set themselves adrift on the nearest ice floe. After all,
they couldn't possibly have anything constructive to contribute to
the human species. Could they?

But suppose you were to take two people who were homosexuals and
place them on a deserted island for a scientific experiment. Two
males or females... it wouldn't matter. All things being equal and
provided there was plenty of food and adequate shelter, what would
happen over the process of time?

Would the island repopulate or die? Would it thrive and live? You
be the judge "sweetchops".
well if they were two females or two males, they couldn't reproduce
if they were hetero or gay, Einstein!!!!
Using just plain old common sense, the natural conclusion of the
experiment should tell you something.

now we are down to school kid levels - what do we do next Mjack - debate who's dad or bigger?

Im not a religious man much anymore but God spoke

more controversy... oh well.. speaking about god... his said a bunch of other smart things too... such as it being okay to sell your daughter, it being dirty to eat seafood other then fish or growing two sorts of seed in your field. (if the bible is used as a reference for what god has said that is...)

ps.

You would have made yourself look a lot better if you would not have responded to this post and had to have the last word...

since you are such a seasoned theologian and biblical scholar, try reading one more chapter in a book.... Romans chapter 1. Don't read too much more than just that, you might blow a vessel. I'm sure it will broaden you increasingly vast knowledge of scripture. :)

I find it amazing that the mention of a gay person seems to make
you automactically think of what they do in bed.
Thats an excellent point Josh. When gay people are categorised it is always their sexual activity which defines them them rather than any other aspect of their self.

Great photos!

Question..why u have to shoot from the hip again?? So at the Gay pride parade they don't want anyone photographing them??? But isn't at the parade usually the public bring their camera and take many photos???

Did u see anyone try take pictures of them and got beat up?
If you are below 21 years old, please um...you can read through
this post but don't click the last link.... ;-)

So, how do you shoot a bunch of naked people or two men kissing
without them beating you up? Shoot from the hip, of course!!!

These are taken from San Francisco Pride Parade earlier today.
Please DO NOT judge my composition and technicality from the photos
as MOST of them are under extreme lightning conditions and ONLY ONE
photo out of all of these went through any post processing. (I'm
getting really lazy these days)

In addition to that, quite a few of these photographs were shot
from the hip. Good thing I'm a snooker and pool player, I estimate
distance, angles and especially AIM very well and some of the shots
actually came out better than I EVER thought possible!!!

Well, let's look at the post processed photo first, shall we? This
is a shot of what looks like a homeless man, really fantastic
facial characteristic. So, I had to post-process this one.

http://www.soocool.com/gallery/photos/exhibitlarge/Homeless_Sepia.jp

Now for a few other samples that went through no post processing
whatsoever, no USM, no levels, nothing. Just normal RAW to JPEG
convertion is all. The next photo is the very first set of riders
at 10:30am when the parade started. This is just a regular pan
shot. Nothing special.

http://www.soocool.com/gallery/photos/large/CRW_7660.jp

The next image is dedicated for the women in this forum...although
I can't guarantee that he is single OR even straight. LOL!!

http://www.soocool.com/gallery/photos/large/CRW_7694.jp

Old man in Chinatown playing Er-Hu. Gave him a dollar and he was
glad to pose for me. No, he wasn't winking. I think he has some
problem with his right eye. Nice guy though.

http://www.soocool.com/gallery/photos/large/CRW_7770.jp

This funny gentleman climbed up a pretty tall postbox and was
yelling out at the top of his lungs about the Commander in Chief
being very "happy" to send young men to die in Iraq...

http://www.soocool.com/gallery/photos/large/CRW_7773.jp

A stall selling S&M and leather stuff. I manual focused to blur
out the entire image to take this shot. I like it a lot for its
abstract feel, don't ask me why.

http://www.soocool.com/gallery/photos/large/CRW_7804.jp

This woman works for MAC..she isn't wearing anything
except...paints, sparkling paints...

http://www.soocool.com/gallery/photos/large/CRW_7812.jp

The next two photos are the best "photography on the hip" I've did
all day. I really like it! Shot it from the hip cuz I was only
using my Canon 28-135mm...can't get far enough and didn't want to
look obvious that I'm photographing.

http://www.soocool.com/gallery/photos/large/CRW_7806.jp

http://www.soocool.com/gallery/photos/large/CRW_7815.jp

ALMOST got a photo of these two gentlemen kissing...my reflex just
ain't fast enough, unfortunately...

http://www.soocool.com/gallery/photos/large/CRW_7830.jp

This is their dog...

Thanks, Johnny.

You made up a wonderful experiment. I can see that your imagination
is just as vivid as the kids in kindergarden, who make things up
and even draw pictures of people on deserted islands.

I'll tried to follow your lead and I thought of this experiment. If
we put you and a male friend of yours on a deserted island, what
are the chances of you two becoming gay?

We already know that you won't have any kids. LOL!:-)
That's an interesting experiment, suppose that he does "become gay"
or for the sake of argument he has sex with his friend. Now
suppose they get rescued. Would he continue to have sex with his
friend and live happily ever after or would he return to the
straight and narrow.
No. They would declare it national gay pride day, demand equal rights, want to get legally married, demand to be able to have sex any time any where, adopt a straight kid, and devorce each other in short order.

The number of people attending these pride days are a small proportion of the gay community and are usaully the more extrovert types. If roles were reversed then the straight pride days would be very similar.
Gay's have sex in the open when they can. They hang at highway rest > stops and have sex in the bushes.
It is true to say that SOME gay people have sex in these places. It is also true to say that SOME of the people who have sex in public places are gay. It is not ture however to assume that ALL people who have sex in public are gay, nor is it true to assume that ALL gay people have sex in public places.
Gay's are about sex and that about it.
Really? What do you base that on other than your own feelings. I myself am an extremely sucessful professional person. Every week I help numerous people to overcome problems and lead a happier life. In between times of work I research in order to advance the professional field I am in. When I have some extra time I take photographs of various subjects (none involve sex!) and share them with people close to me. Other spare time I have is used up with the development of work with my business partner. Am I just about sex??
You can call me a homophobe if you want, who cares.
Homosexuality is just wrong. Have a nice day.

Thanks, Johnny.
Johnny, maybe you should look at this fear you have?

Everything is natural otherwise it would not exist in any form. Even manmade things are natural. Homosexuality is natural but still plain just wrong. The closet door should have never been opened.
I find the assumption "natural=right" to be a little too simplicistic.

Is Internet "natural"? Is digital photography? Is cancer natural?
What can be defined natural after all? Different behaviours are
generated to help races survive just in case something really
unexpected happens. Homosexuality is surely not useful for survival
of the single individual, but from a social point of view I'm not
100% convinced humanity will be better without homosexuals.

Ancient philosophers used to have sex with both men and women but
the scripts of Aristoteles (to name an example) were still useful
not too long ago to help discover the flow of blood inside veins
(the Aristotelic assumption of "if it's there there must be a
reason" was used in that case).

I also believe that if gays want to be recognized as "normal" they
should avoid walking around naked with funny things tied to their
intimate parts :)

I actually found myself looking at every photo. As an essay on a totally different walk of like to my own, it was fascinating to view, albeit a bit cringeworthy occasionally.

I'm absolutely astonished at the reaction you've got here - you warned up front what the content was and still people couldn't help from clicking - TWICE at least - and allowing themselves to be outraged. It's interesting (and I haven't read every post) that I've only spotted one other comment from another woman (me being one) and she enjoyed them same as I did - it's the blokes being all put out by the content.

The only thing I have a problem with is, as others have commented, the secretive nature of you taking some of the shots, I doubt it was necessary in that environment and I prefer to see candids where I know consent was implied by the willing pose of the subject.

I've just looked through them all when I couldn't really spare the time, but as a piece of reportage, I enjoyed it. Reading the posts here has been an education as well!
