D1 Wallpaper

to me like wallpaper in the LCD screen, its very colorful but its not
what I shot. When shooting the second picture, the picture comes out ok
but there is a band of this wallpaper across the top of the picture. The
third picture is fine. Is this a problem with the camera? Could it be
that the camera is too cold although it has always been in the case
indoors.

I've seen this with my D1. Sometimes get a continuous speckled pattern.
Colorful noise! I haven't figured it out yet, and haven't seen it
lately. I do know that the D1 starts behaving strangely a little before
you get low battery warning. I suspect it's a nearly low battery
condition.

To check this, next time you see the pattern, put in a freshly charged
battery and see if the picture looks correct.
