Hi there,

I'm fairly new to the photography scene and brand new to my (beloved!!) D70.

I have a question that relates to the flash. When I'm using the flash in 'A' mode indoors the exposure meter in the viewfinder always says the photo will be severly underexposed.... but the photo turns out just fine.

It seems as though the meter doesn't take into consideration that the flash is going to be used and therefore thinks the pic will be underexposed. Is this normal? Or am I missing something?

Thanks for any insight

Good question, I'm looking for the answer myself. Having a little bit of a hard time with my SB-800 and getting the perfect light shot.

Right: the D70 will always try to expose correctly all the picture, and "fill in" the sharp parts of your pics. Not only in A mode.
