No problems at all, err99 only once, with a ooooold unchiped Sigma.

I did 5000 shots since nov2003. Err99 once or twice due bumping the lens to something. Refitting is solved it.

What's worth a thousand words? Well, it's in the eye of the beholder.
 
11,551 shots since mid November 2003.

Occasional err99 and 00 aperture - but always resolvable by detatching the lens and re-attaching it again.
 
My first body had just about 64,000 shots on it before one of the arms that holds the mirror in place came loose and the camera was replaced. Until that happened I had never received any error message from the camera. I can’t remember exactly when I got my first rebel but it was in the first batch of the ones that arrived at my local Best Buy store. It stopped working at the end of March. I got its replacement the same day the old one stopped working and haven’t had any problems at all with it and it has taken about 24,500 shots so far.
