OK, now it's time to get dirty... lay it on me. What should I improve (except my photography)???

What a great site, Petra! I love your design. Very classy (of course!). Looked at all your beautiful pictures and with some of them it was like seeing old friends. Now, go take a nap!

Here's the mistake I found on your homepage:

"You'll find all types of photo's here. Good and bad..."

Sorry, I looked. There are no bad pictures! (Maybe you want links to some of mine?)

Seriously, I think you've done a fantastic job. I wish I had 10% of your creative genius. I especially like the one of that young girl with her tongue sticking out :-) An early self portrait?

I'm sorry, Petra.

I think I'm washed up as a Beta Tester. I couldn't break anything. I liked everything. I liked that I got to see some of my favorite photographs of yours. I liked that I got to see some I haven't seen before. I liked 'em all. I like the layout, design, and the linkage I must be getting soft.

Perhaps other people will find things to improve. I just wasn't able to.

(p.s. I think hosting your photography is the way to go. Gives you MUCH more control over how you present things, and store things.

also p.s. No doubt you know this, but photographs can mustiply like rabbits, and they DO consume space. Sunday I found out how to get blackmallard.com online usage statistics. Imagine my chagrin when I found out I was using 51 megabytes of web space. I'm allowed 50 megabytes. ...I've started paring non-essential stuff)

Hey Petra,

It's nice. Very easy to navigate, cleanly presented, and stocked with great photos. I have zero complaints, except maybe that you should put more of your work in there ASAP!!

I enjoyed your pictures but in terms of layout, I would do away with the frames. My monitor is small and having to view things in a frame just limits the view area even more.

Petra, the site is simple, clear, balanced, easy to navigate, and stylish to boot. Very funky header. Fonts are well chosen, too. It also loads quickly and smoothly (and I'm a long long way away). The whole package (content included) is excellent. A+

I'm typing in my sleep. When I finally could wind down to go to bed the clock was way past my bed time... I thought I would be able to sleep in but oh no, the phone got a diarrea or something because it's been ringing all morning.... even wrong numbers sigh

I'm glad you liked my design, that means I can rest now and plan on what pictures I should put up (and of course try to get some new ones).

Well, some I plan to keep... but some I'm thinking of replacing with others I've taken that I think is better... and of course add new ones I will take.

Actually the portrait of me as a child is the only photo I haven't taken on this site. I don't know the photographers name but I do know he is/was a news photographer that was working with my mother (she's a journalist). I wish I knew his name (or mom could remember it) so I could give him credit. I thought it was cute and perhaps later I'll change it for a real self portrait.

Besides, there seem to be few that really has something to complain about. I'm not sure if it's politeness or if the album is actually good. I'll flatter myself and pick the last... until someone tells the truth. :-D

When it comes to web space I'm not sure how much I'll have. My guess is around 25 MB which I've probably exceeded many times over already. I think I'm in luck though since the guy that has the ISP is an old school mate of mine and when I asked how much room I had on the server he said "how much do you need?" meaning that not everyone was using their 25 MB so any excess was ok for me to use. Not that I plan on using a few GB's... but you never know... grin
