Hi Donjure!!!

And welcome to the we are broke but we have great camera's E10 club!

I'm glad I got mine while I was still single. :o)

I might suggest you load the PhotoShop LE that you got with the camera, atleast I hope you did, and use the "resize" function for making your pic's smaller and easier to e-mail.

Actually, make a copy of your image, and reduce the copy. :o)

Hi Donjure,

Congrats on your new child.
Even if your girlfriend doesn't love you anymore....we do.

To answer a few of your questions, at what resolution are you trying to send pictures? TIFF, SHQ, HQ? What is your email system (i.e., Outlook (uugh), or AOL (more ughs), or is it something else? I have AOL and it sucks. Sending any picture at more than 1MB through a major internet mail system, even if you have a fast connection (i.e., DSL or T1) is a pain, and your email will hang, and even shutdown.

I would definitely read the manual a few times. It will save you a lot of heartache, and "fnger-ache" (meaning, playing around with buttons for hours and not getting anywhere). Also, use the "search" function on this forum to help you get answers a lot faster, in case you don't get anything right away.

Welcome to the Club! You made a good, no, a GREAT choice!

Shoot TIFF 1:1 .. and send it to her full sized. hehehehe

Ultimate payback is to tie up her e-mail for a good while. ;o)

Come on, Vance.
We all know that RAW mode is the best for these kinds of pics.

What he needs to do is get a photo-hosting account (notice I didn't mention names...ahem) and then upload his ass. He can then give his girlfriend the secret password, or leave it open to the public (the photo) for all to see.

Hi,

Don't overwrite the original image. Just open it in Photoshop, go to image size and res it to 72dpi (it's perfect for viewing on a screen but not printing) and then save as a medium quality jpeg. It will drop to about 500-700k. Perfect!

Have a great time with your camera!

See ya,

Richard
